Borgarfjörður

Borgarfjörður is especially beautiful fjord in only about 100 km. Distance from the capital area.  There are many spectacular and historical places. We take the longer route to Borgarfjörður and stop by at the whaling station in Hvalfjörður.  In Borgarfjörður we look at Reykholt in which one of Iceland’s most notable writers lived in the 13th Century, Snorri Sturluson. We examine the strikingly beautiful Hraunfossar waterfalls and look around in Húsafell where natural beauty is unique.
